Why is this study being done?
This research study involves infusion after a heart attack with adult human stem cells which is an investigational agent. The main goal of this study is to find out if it is safe to give this investigational agent to people who have had a heart attack, what are the potential side effects, and what dose is best. This research is also being done to see if an infusion (medication given in a solution directly into the vein) with the investigational agent can improve recovery from a heart attack.
